LinkedIn page and commemoration of APPC´s 40th anniversary
APPC's LinkedIn page was launched, the first and only social network where the Association is present.
Conduct of a Seminar-Debate followed by a Celebration Dinner of APPC´s 40th anniversary; the Seminar was subordinated to the themes of public procurement and internationalization.

APPC signs a Cooperation Protocol with REFER (current Infrastructures of Portugal) bearing in mind the development and exchange on railway know-how; it was within this framework that the Association and REFER Academy (later Academia IP) organized 4 courses in 2015 and 1 in 2016 on Railway Safety.

Organization in Lisbon, on May 24th and 25th, of the General Assembly and Annual Conference of EFCA, under the theme "Developing the Engineering World - Winning Strategies"
2012
Launching of the Portuguese version of FIDIC's Red Book and admission to FEPAC
In June, APPC launches the Portuguese version of FIDIC's Red Book (Contractual Conditions for Recommended Construction Work for Construction and Engineering Works designed by the Owner of the construction work), the first publication of this federation to be translated into Portuguese.

In the middle of the year, APPC became a permanent member of the FEPAC - Pan American Federation of Consultants, which includes associations from several Latin American countries and the associations of Portugal and Spain.

Fusion, by incorporation, of APVP at APPC
Fusion, by incorporation, of APVP - Association of Road and Bridge Designers, at APPC; with this process, 19 companies of that association were integrated in APPC. At this time the Engineer Victor Carneiro was President.
In July, the CPCI - Portuguese Confederation of Construction and Real Estate is constituted, in which APPC is a founding member.

Definition of Functions and Fees
Publication of the document "Definition of Functions and Fees for Project Services and Consulting 2008", based on the "Fee Charts" published in 1994 and revised in 2003; seeings that the European legislation had prohibited the fixing of charts, this publication has become a purely guiding document presenting indicative values.

"Portuguese Engineering: Construction and Projects" Project ("build")
Joint application of the organizations representing the Portuguese Engineering Line (among which APPC) to PRIME, an EU-funded incentive program. The main objective of the "Portuguese Engineering: Construction and Projects" Project (hereinafter referred to as "build") was to increase exports; in addition to participating in joint actions, APPC made a study "The Challenge of Internationalization of Portuguese Consulting Companies in the Engineering Industry - A Guide to Action" and participated in business missions (Romania and BAD / EIB).
2006
Launching of the professional liability insurance
After a period of negotiations with an insurance company and an insurance broker, the policies of the companies, that had decided to join APPC's professional liability insurance in the previous month, entered into force in January. A group insurance that has been successfully notable.
2005
APPC's 30th anniversary commemoration
APPC's image was renewed, with the creation of a new logo that was more readable than the logo that existed since the foundation; a book on the history of the association was published, entitled "30 Years at the Service of Consulting"; two events were held - conference and dinner-debate of the commencement of the celebrations, in January 2004, and conference and dinner-debate closing the celebrations, in January 2005; at the dinner-debate associates diplomas were awarded to companies registered 30 years ago (founding members).

Organization in Lisbon, from 22nd to 24th May, of the General Assembly and Annual Conference of FEACO, under the theme "Management Consultancy in a World in Rapid Change"; the main driver was Eng. Fernando Rolin, a Board member responsible at the time for the organization and management.

Launching of the APPC web site
Launching of the APPC web site, an important communication tool that, in addition to publicizing the activities of the association, became the associated companies showcase, with the online placement of the respective sheets, which until then only appeared in the Yearbook and are updated annually.

Organization in Lisbon, from May 29th to June 1st, of the General Assembly and Annual Conference of EFCA, under the theme "Modernization and Urban Rehabilitation. Cases of Lisbon and Porto". At the General Assembly, Eng. José Borges Rayagra, a member of the APPC Board, was elected as the new President of EFCA.

Purchase of the facilities
APPC celebrates 12-year "leasing" agreement to buy the facilities where it is currently installed; was then President Fernando Silveira Ramos.

Revision of the statutes (from then on APPC has only corporate members) and launch of the first bilingual Yearbook
In January the revision of the statutes is approved, which increases the term of office of the corporate bodies from 2 to 3 years and the condition of the associate is reserved exclusively for companies.

1st APPC Dinner-Debate
The 1st APPC Dinner-Debate takes place in May, an initiative that would be repeated for several years and which has always had high-level representatives of political power as guests of honor. Joaquim Caldeira Rodrigues was President.

Admission to CEDIC, which in 1992 becomes EFCA
APPC joins the European association that groups together the independent consultants, CEDIC - Comité Européen des Ingénieurs Conseils; in 1992 the merger of this organization with the CEBI - Comité Européen des Bureaux d'Ingénierie, gave rise to the EFCA - European Federation of Associations of Engineering Consultants.

Protocol of Cooperation between APPC and ICEP
On June 8th the 1st Protocol of Cooperation is signed between APPC and ICEP, which allowed the development on the internationalization actions and support the presence, representation and affirmation of the Portuguese Consulting in the international level. 
Attribution to Eng. José Araújo Coutinho of the degree of Honorary Member, distinction attributed for the first time.

After a long period of rapprochement with the FIDIC - International Federation of Consulting Engineers, who was detained by the State. In the General Assembly of this Federation, held in Lausanne, September 9th, APPC is finally admitted as a member.

"Portuguese Consultants" directory and FEACO General Assembly and Conference
Joint edition of APPC, IIE - Institute of Foreign Investment and ICEP - Institute of Foreign Trade of "Portuguese Consultants", partners directory that have as a mission the export of their services.

From 21st to the 23rd of May, APPC organized with great success, in Lisbon, the General Assembly and Conference of FEACO, under the theme "Human Resources in a Changing World". The main driver was Mr Carlos Borges de Araújo, member of the Board and future President in the years 1989 and 1990.

APPC Yearbook
First edition of the APPC Yearbook was considered one of the basic elements at the time in order to create a brand image of the Sector and had been continuously postponed due to the difficulty in obtaining data from a large number of partners.
1985
22nd FIL - "Know-how, Engineering - Studies, Projects and Services" and admission to FEACO
In May, AIP invites APPC to participate, at the 22nd FIL, with the theme: "Know-how, Engineering - Studies, Projects and Services". APPC's participation theme is: "Portugal without the Portuguese Technique Wouldn´t Be Portugal ..." The Association organizes simultaneously an International Colloquium with the theme "The Future of Technical Consultants in Portugal", in which representatives of the international Federations participate and later APPC became affiliated to: FIDIC, FEACO, CEDIC and CEBI (after a few years these two organizations gave rise to the current EFCA).

At the General Assembly of FEACO - European Federation of Associations of Management Consultants held in Monaco in May, APPC is admitted as Portugal´s representative in this organization.

Code of Ethics and start of the publication of the "books of yellow cover"
At the General Assembly on July the 2nd, the APPC Code of Ethics was approved, which was sent to more than 2000 public and private entities; with this publication begins a cycle of publications generically known as "books of yellow cover" that, due to the novelty and precision of concepts, had a remarkable success.

On the 27th of March at the General Assembly, the "Guide for the Use of the Services of Technical Advisors" was unanimously approved, an in-depth work that required a general agreement of the members.

APPC´s constitution by public deed
APPC´s constitution by public deed on January 16: Publication of the Statutes in the Government Gazette, Series III, nº 28, on February 3; acquisition of legal personality on February 5th. The deed of the constitution is granted by 3 members of the Installing Commission: José de Araújo Coutinho, Carlos Manuel Ramos and Mário Martins Baptista; the headquarters was in the AIP Building, at Praça das Indústrias; the partners could be individual or collective.

Setting up of the APPC Installing Commission
After some meetings and working sessions during which three versions of APPC´s preliminary draft statutes were prepared, the final draft was approved at the meeting of the Standing Committee on February 6, 1974.

On March 5th, the APPC Installing Commission was constituted and the Permanent Commission was extinguished; the APPC Statutes draft is sent to all Congress members along with the Congressional Final Report

The Installing Commission begins with a preparatory work program that includes contacts at ministerial level to ensure APPC´s legal recognition as well as contacts with the media to disseminate it; provisional membership is made; the Revolution of the 25th of April interrupts the work of the Commission and delays the whole process.

However on the 17th of May, a general meeting (75 people) was held, which lasted for hours, dominated by two themes: the crisis of work that was predicted and the program of action proposed by the Installation Commission.

The intensification of the crisis led to the formation of a joint Commission, in October, composed by representatives of the APPC Installing Commission, the Technical Consultants and Designers Section of AIP and CTPI, assigned to bring the attention of government entities to the situation that the sector was facing and possible solutions.

Organization of the 1st National Congress of Projectors and Consultants
In May 1973, the 1st National Congress of Projectors and Consultants was held at the premises of the former FIL (AIP), which had 400 participants; one of the dealt subjects in discussion was the "Organization of the Sector". The organizers decided to create an Executive Committee and in order to continue the work of the Congress, a constitution of a Permanent Commission was proposed to the congressmen.

The Executive Committee on the 26th of July, convened a meeting to set up the Standing Committee, electing a Chairman and appointing an Executive Committee among its members, which elaborated preliminary draft under the body´s statutes in order to represent the projectors and consultants.

Within the scope of the 81st Section of the AIP - Technical Consultants and Designers, a first meeting is held in May to propose and discuss the holding of a congress; the Organizing Committee of the First National Congress of Designers and Consultants is constituted.

Second associative movement - creation of CTPI – Consultores Técnicos para Projectos Internacionais, Lda
It results from an attempt to coordinate the isolated efforts that the most representative organizations of the Sector developed for their export services; incorporates 10 companies, of which 8 are members from the Technical Consultants and Designers Section of AIP: EDP, Profabril, Coba, Hidroprojecto, Lusotecna, Cetel, Consulmar, Electroconsul, GPA e Norma.

On April 12, 1967, the 81st Section of the Portuguese Industrial Association - Technical Consultants and Designers was formed; in 1970 it had 9 members and in 1973 this number increased to 18.

First associative movement
After exchanging views with the Director of the World Bank, the consulting firm COBA has the initiative of promoting, among the Portuguese consulting organizations, a meeting to study their possible grouping with the purpose of "promoting national technique abroad ".
